The Telly Awards honour the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Our mission has been to create a program by RVers for RVers showcasing the best in RV travel. We also strive to impart  information that enhances the RV lifestyle.  It seems we reached our goal again. RVTV won in two categories; Travel / Tourism and Information.

 

 

RVTV and The Cooking Ladies




COLD VEGETABLE CHILI

(Makes 3 servings)

 

19 ounces               (540 mL)      can stewed tomatoes

19 ounces      (540 mL)      can black beans, drained

4 tablespoons        (60 mL)      finely diced onion

4 tablespoons        (60 mL)      mild salsa

1 1/2 teaspoons         (7.5 mL)      chili powder

2 tablespoons        (60 mL)      fresh lime juice

 

Place the stewed tomatoes in a large bowl.  Break up any large pieces with a sharp knife.

Add the black beans, onion, salsa, chili powder, and lime juice to the tomatoes.

Stir the ingredients together and serve.

Per serving: 220 calories, 3 g fat, 0 g saturated fat, 12 g protein, 38 g carbohydrate, 12 g fibre, 10 g sugar, 1160 mg sodium.
