My wife aznd I just finished a 3000 mile treck through Washington,Idaho,Utah,Colorado and Kansas. We made no plans, Just took off from Washington. We stopped every 200 or 300 miles at what ever was there. It seemed that almost every park was run by an older widow lady that was trying to do everything since their husband passed-Just bearly hanging on, the grass in almost every park required mowing,in two parks we had to find a space that still has running water, because the pipes had frozen. The ladys were very nice, just could not handle the work that thier husband had taken care of. It broke my heart. I sat with a couple of the ladies and talked about the 10 to 20 years that they had worked with thier men and were very proud of what they had done with some pictures that showed what they had done. These parks had become thier homes (or prisions)and they could not find anyone that would give them what they wanted for thier property, they said most just offered then 10 cents on the dollar "to get out of the way". I offered some time to try and help because my wife and I had no schedule, but each time they said they could do it and did not want charity. My heart is breaking and I dont know what to do. I have tried to stay in touch with them but am losing ground.
